Die graad 8’s begin hulle koshuisjare in die oudste koshuisgebou van die skool – Huis Pannevis – wat sedert 1930 ‘n tweede tuiste vir duisende seuns op die Affie-terrein gebied het. Die nuwelinge studeer saans in die lugverkoelde studiesaal op die boonste vlak van die studentesentrum. Daar is ‘n besondere gees van samehorigheid en broederskap tussen al die koshuisinwoners en die seuns lewer ‘n sterk bydrae tot die algemene gees van die skool.
