Fostering a Family Spirit
Camaraderie and family spirit are fostered in each house.
The individual’s unique strengths and dignity are fiercely protected and life skills like self-management and independence are fostered through the rules, “parenting” and mentoring systems.
Newcomers find themselves quickly embraced in the welcoming environment through loving, approachable, prayerful and experienced “mothering” and “fathering” that houseparents provide.
Boarders are free to attend in-house Bible studies.
There is ample opportunity to mix socially during the school day, free time and at school events.
Initiation ceremonies are not allowed.
Boys’ Accommodation
Boys have three boarding houses – Campbell, Jonsson and Harland – each catering for 55 boys from Grade 8 to Matric.
Each house has a housemaster, two assistant housemasters and dormitory prefects who are responsible for overseeing the well-being and daily routine of boarders.
Grades 8 to 11 share a room in pairs and Grade 12’s have their own private rooms.
Girls’ Accommodation
Girls are accommodated in two boarding houses : Trew and Lind.
Each house is home to roughly 60 girls from Grade 8 to Matric and is overseen by a resident housemother who is assisted by a Head of House and floor prefects.
All girls have their own rooms equipped with built-in cupboards and desks.
Facilities
Each of the five houses has a comfortable common room equipped with recreational necessities, channel-controlled DSTV and space in which to relax, socialise and “chill out”. Show Boarding Schools
As shown above we list all boarding school information. We make it easy for you to contact any boarding school directly. in addition you can find schools in a similar area or province.
A boarding school provides education for pupils who live on the premises, as opposed to a day school. The word “boarding” is used in the sense of “room and board” i.e., lodging and meals. As they have existed for many centuries, and now extend across many countries, their function and ethos varies greatly.
Fewer Distractions. Boarding school students can focus better on their studies because television, video games, phones and other distractors are limited. These young scholars usually perform better academically because they live in an environment that is conducive to learning.
